A colleague of mine went to Phoenix East and he didn’t stay there for all his training. If I recall correctly, it wasn’t the worst place to train, but it wasn’t the greatest either. Wish I could remember the specifics of his review.

What I do know personally is that it’s an absolute hassle to get in and out of Daytona International. Waiting in excess of 30 mins to get takeoff clearance while the prop is spinning and the Hobbs is ticking is the daily expectation. Meanwhile at my school we might wait 5 minutes occasionally.

Call the flight schools you are interested in. The best thing to do is actually tour the facilities in person, but I understand everyone can’t do that. However, you’re going to be spending a lot of time and money with whatever school you go to, so I recommend you take the time to find a good fit for you now.
