It’s not a new product. It’s taking 700s and re configuring the cabin to 50 seats. They’re not using new planes but the articles written make it look like a new airframe. Our company memo said they’re reconfiguring our current frames. Also it’s not something that makes sense to simply replace the 145s it’ll only be cost effective on certain routes imo. The reason this happened is because the 175s coming here put UAL over scope. Even the internal announcements said that as each XJT175 comes online that one of the G7 700s must come off for scope. This is literally just the use of a loophole to keep those planes in the air without busting scope
