The plus side of having a senior pilot group is that you have very senior instructors. On the LASA side you’d be hard pressed to find an instructor with less than 20 years experience. I’m not familiar with the LXJT side, but I think it’s about the same (the departments are merged now).
This translates into having instructors who have “been there, done that, and got the t-shirt”. If you have a weakness they have probably seen it a million times before. Listen to them, ask questions and relax in the sim and you should make it through.
And probably 20 years of experience as an instructor!
