If they won't give it to you (now this is of course within a reasonable context) then you don't sign the release and don't release the brake. Captain 101... FO's are you actually paying attention or just adding up your logbooks? I will say in 14+ years, I've only had to ask for more fuel about a dozen times... most had to do with a former dispatcher nicknamed gerbil.
