Yes. I’m sure Pilots, with well above median salaries for this country, are going to live in the ghetto because “well it’s close to work”.

Yes, East STL is pretty 💩 . But there are a lot of areas in STL that aren’t. Same deal with MCI. Hell nearly all of MEM is. Not a single FDX guy (who lives in base) live in MEM. BNA might have a less prominent ghetto, but I bet you there is one.

If BLV opened I’ll be living dead smack in the middle. 25 mins to KSTL and 25 to KBLV. The neighborhoods in that distance range are quite acceptable. Of course I doubt it ever happens. Why on earth open a base with a ridiculous number of flights each week. I’m sure BLV will be a new G-Force arcade center before a domicile... 🤦🏻*♂️
