RPA has shown over and over and over that the only metric they truly care about is cost savings. Nothing else. Not quality of life, not fatigue risk management, not scheduling efficiency (in the eyes of crew members), etc. This latest blast email by the union only furthers that sentiment.
It's time to start dropping the brake late if we actually want a change; because per the union email: "unfortunately, the company has the final say."
Unfortunately our current CBA doesn’t prevent what they’re doing. Yes they care about the cost above all else, and have from the very beginning. Also YX has never been commuter friendly.
I would be careful about advocating a “work action” though, because this is a very open forum.
