I don't see too many captains WSing bid package garbage, but instead are grabbing the broken trips after CS chops them up. Sure, there are a few who will WS or OOBWS a standard bid package trip out of open time and fly to FAR maximums, but those are the minority.
You hit on a good point. Crew resources is building horrible trips in an effort to reduce credit time. I wonder if they go back post month and do an accounting of how much credit they generated when trips get broken up because no one will pick them up, or when people sick out of a trip they don’t want to fly.
