The OP was asking about a pickup WS now that jury duty is already on his schedule. My thought is know what the court expects.
What if you're on the hook for the week, you're only getting pjury for monday and thus for pay go out on a trip on Tuesday. But then find out Tuesday night that you're to be back in court Wednesday morning at 8? You cant make it. Then what?
In this scenario, since your obligation to the court is not necessarily complete you would call scheduling and extend your jury duty block off. He would still get paid for the white slip and still be available for jury duty. A bit of PWA machinations in the pilots favor but worth it generally to the company as I’m sure statistically it plays out that most are sent home after the one day jury duty.
