I had talked with a recruiter earlier this morning and she had told me a pilot has spent about 18 months as an FO, made Captain, then after a year was gone to Delta. Sounded that he had left over the past several months. At the time, I didn't put it together and now am curious if this was due to the Delta Guaranteed Application Review.

There would be no way of knowing. DL doesn’t share there hiring metrics or practices - the guaranteed app review is a total snipe hunt. Either your getting reviewed because your qualified or your not.
