As long as the checks keep coming, who cares? I was the best "lowly" co-pilot that I've ever flown with. I hope that you feel the same way too.

P.S. If it really does bother you, I hope that you will refer to your "assistant" as First Officer after you check out as Captain, El Jeffe, Boss man, Pilot, Old man, HMFWIC, ect, ect.
