The 175 is like a completely different airline. The amount of NH's getting assigned the 145, and the impending 145 vacancies from 2017 NH's upgrading should give someone interested in Envoy a lot of pause.
Solid points and ones that have and should continue to be repeated around prospective new hires.

The majority of our new hires come here pretty confident they'll get the 175, bid to their preferred base in training, and go straight to the line or sit reserve for like 3 months out of training. However, the 145 is our biggest fleet, has 1 yr+ reserve in our most junior base, and w/in the last year took 9 mos to get to DFW on.

I would unreservedly recommend Envoy only to guys who have orders in their back pocket. Do indoc week (bid for whatever, doesn't matter - take a CRJ slot off the board plz), drop orders, and come back as a lineholder on the 175. Everyone else should consider carefully how you will deal with a year of reserve in NYC if you lose the day 1 lottery. Envoy loves doing all 145 classes. Cadet status is not a golden ticket anymore.
