That’s my whole point. I do understand others that say “that way we can help other nonrevs”, I’ve done it, numerous times, specially going home. But we should get the option before a regional parter or other airline pilot gets the last seat of the plane. The last seat available should be the JS when other pilots are present.
Also, if the flight is payload optimize, the agent already know that, so they can call over the PA for those with JS reserved.
