If you were here when we fought for the jumpseat you would understand it. They do ban it today. The computer will allow you to make a jumpseat listing and then make a non rev listing. Company policy forbids it.
We're talking about the ability to have one listing do both. It's already in use by other airlines and we can improve it even futher to make sure no seats go unfilled.
Will all non-revs will clear? Yes: Use stby list
No: Are there other jumpseaters?
Yes: Pilot choice (looks at seat map and position on stby list)
No: Award jumpseat (This is the part we do differently
