Seems an odd move on AAG's part...trying to discourage their own stepchildren's chances?
Usually a parent airline is promoting their WOs...especially to young, aspiring pilot wannabes.
It’s all about metering. The next 5-10 years will get interesting with mandatory retirements at other carriers, not so much Alaska. I believe many are using pathway as a backup option but have apps in everywhere, and are leaving to other airlines as well. Since I’ve been here, many captains have been picked up by Delta, United and Southwest.
