Unless you live in base, the main reason you took that job is for the carrot like everyone else at an AA WO. There’s plenty of people that came from where I did that went to one of those carriers for the glorious “you can be a future American Airlines pilot” with no effort deal.....as long as you accept the ********* lifestyle we’ll offer you for the next 8 years.
Your contracts will never compete with the top tiers unless your group gives up on the carrot.
Well, I happen to live in base, so there is that.
And go back 4-5 years, and you'll find people saying the same thing about trickling the flow etc. Guess what. They were all wrong.
To me, nr.1 thing is still to live in base. There is no regional contract anywhere worth commuting for. That's why I canceled my class date with Republic, and told Endeavor no thanks.
