ASA Job offer
Interviewed yesterday and today. Interview is exactly like the gouge on mypilotcareer.com. No surprises. 3/7 were sent home because they did not make better than 80% on the ATP written questions. The sim was full motion, CRJ 700, and fun to fly (although pitch sensitive and I realized how used to the Flight Director I have become). As soon as I landed the airplane, Joe said,"Great Job, welcome to ASA." Drug testing and finger printing followed. Everyone was very nice, and I was offered a Dec 27 class date (other dates available were 1/14 and 1/28. They told us within the first 15 minutes of getting there on day 1, "We need you. Every one of you walked in here with a class date stamped on your forehead. Please do not make us take that away from you, we need you too bad." Although I would love to fly the shiny new E170 for RAH, ASA seems better for me because I know I'll be based in ATL, and won't have to worry about being locked in for 2 years if something better comes along or I just don't like it. And for those who will ask, I have 2700TT, 2400PIC, 1200MEL, 1000Turbine, 800TPIC. I look forward to seeing those in the Dec. 27th class!
