My guess is they underestimated and are surprised at how little open time there is with Reserves being allowed to pickup open time on days off with new contract... I just looked - Denver has 10 pairings for rest of month - LAS 6 pairings MCO 7 pairings etc (Captain). I can’t see FO pairings. This appears to be about 75 percent less open time than pre new contract. So just an educated guess is they may be waiting to see what happens next month and reforecast hiring / upgrades. Anyone want to chime in on my assessment? Just an educated guess on my part.
