You are right, because in real life 90% of these "thoughts and prayers" people who are getting their undies in a bundle because they think someone may be speculating do the exact same thing in real life conversations with pilots and family members. So yes, the hypocrisy of your crowd is strong here and does not go unnoticed.
btw, you know who else had their "thoughts ad prayers" with the families of a tragedy? BP after the oil platform explosion in the Gulf of Mexico, something they were culpable for. As a matter of fact that term has become cliché' for companies/people to say right after something goes wrong that they know they could be litigated or criminally charged with. The term is useless and played out, tie to come up with something new to say when you can't think of anything else. Or here is a better idea, how about shutting up and not posting anything at all?
