If moving 150+ people across the nation and landing when it’s nasty winds and visibility isn’t work then why are you a pilot? I am a pilot because it is what I have wanted to do for as long as I can remember. And I consider myself very fortunate to be one for as long as I have.
Nobody (well, maybe those who do not enjoy their families) ever want to be away from their families. But if being home was your number one goal, why not work a 9-5 job that has you home 7 nights a week? There are hundreds of thousands of jobs that accomplish that.
