Seriously, my whole point is that there is room for improvement. Why not work towards it? I am well aware you are enjoying being the big rich fish...but I don't think getting our rules would hurt you at all. I have friends at Alaska and I really hope you can make improvements. It helps everyone but it also recognizes the hard work you do.
I appreciate you coming on here with some pushback. For too long these old timers have perpetuated the lies that the AS contract is on par with the big 3.
No, we don't have the same rigs. No, we don't make the same rates. Yes, you work longer days, fly more legs, sleep in worse hotels, have less time off, and are more prone to abuse for free than your peers.
Part of the culture here is gaslighting yourself and your coworkers. And if someone starts bringing up the inconsistencies they're told to
"pipe down and focus on your family."
The first step to a better contract is admitting you have a problem.
