That would maybe get you a 20% down in the greater Seattle area. But a lot closer to 10% Most people don’t realize that for the middle class Seattle is actually higher priced that much of the SF Bay. I’m selling a 3 bedroom 2 bath in a nice part of the SF Bay for 751k. In the neighborhood where I am currently renting close to SEA, 2 bedroom and 1 bath is going for 775 and it’s the only house available.
I think a lot of our more senior pilots can’t wrap their head around the cost of living for all of our bases.
Bragging about your 1.4 milli house? It didn’t cost that much when your bought it. You just got lucky...
