Even part time CFI will help. I have a full time job that pays the bills, work part time as an instructor, mostly paid, but some volunteer, (flying with Civil Air Patrol). Before getting my CFI I would try to average 50 hrs per year. Last month I did 49.5hrs. Even if I'm not getting paid, still beats having to pay for the plane myself.
How much of that is CFI flight time vs CAP vs paying for yourself? I’m trying to do the same type of thing with a current full time job.
