So here is a hypothetical, since LAX is currently an all Boeing base, let’s say that the top 50 717As don’t ever want to fly an Airbus and decide to MD bid LAX 737A. Could they theoretically bid MD’s to the 737 in LAX and displace 50 current LAX 737 captains? Those 737As would probably become A320A but still, should junior LAX 737As be prepared for displacment?
Probably. Unless the company decides to keep it fat. Because inevitably some 717As will choose the 737 over the 320 like you said. So I'd say if you are junior in any LAX category you have a possibility of being displaced.
