250 an hour including everything is about right for the 172. I know the rate the student pays for the instructor is $63/hour, and the aircraft are significantly more expensive than anything else in the area.

I can’t seem to find the webpage that broke down the exact hourly rate for the aircraft, but I remember it being just slightly higher than PEA in Daytona as well.

Personally, while completing my degree from embry riddle, I flew across the street at a cheap part 61 school and completed my ratings in about half the time (and half the cost) of my peers at ERAU. Sure, they get to go to the regionals at 1000 hours, but I’ll still have them beat... and have a lot less debt.
