I will say this, I’d say 11 years of JD Power etc awards, with exceptional safety and on time performance combined with industry leading profit margins, for years and years, WITH a contract that saved money compared to our competitors, AND, with no lag during a contentious SLI,.... that’s a pretty solid hand of cards to lay on the table to start the conversation. IMO
I am your huckleberry, so from 2005 to mid 2016 what was Delta making. How quickly we forget how bad the industry was 2001-2013...... the worst decade in aviation! There were awards but the industry was on its lips. How long did it take SWA to get a contract during this period. What was the disparity of wages during this time? The industry came full circle in 2014 and now is the time to get what we deserve. However, we will only get it if we are churning out a ton of coin and the economy holds up. Sorry there were only pennies of improvement we could have garnered from 2005-2013.....AMR DAL UAL CAL NWA.... they all sucked and you guys were paying a CA $95 an hour to fly a A320 and you had to start over at year one CA rates once you upgraded. You kidd right, were you and I living in the same reality, even working in the same industry?
