PRIA is a request only. Your current employer doesn’t even have to respond. It would probably look more favorably if they did, but it’s my understanding that the request comes after a job offer, not before. I interviewed with Atlas and I was flying in Afrika. One of the interviewers asked me in front of the HR manager whose initials are DB if “they can even verify a PRIA”. As if other countries can use email, telephones or speak English. This is united airlines though, it shouldn’t be an issue. They seem abit more enlightened and accepting. I interviewed at another carrier, and they welcomed my international experience and my company in Africa of course responded to their PRIA request.
