Just so you know.....I couldn't get an application from United years ago because they had been slapped by a class action lawsuit .....applications were going out( a friend of mine got one(racial minority), we laughed about it). However, I did get hired by 3 legacies(only applied to 3) ....(I am not holding a grudge and actually am thankful for the way things worked out) Does UAL still have their "no upgrade" list that harkens back to those years?
If any pilot gets points added based upon their gender or race or legacy status, etc., ....that doesn't mean they are unqualified, nor less qualified . It simply means that the playing field is not level if fortune/chance/ choice/ gender/kizmit haven't showered you with affection. It's a zero sum game. Every position taken up with somebody with equal qualifications that gets the nod before you because of things you cannot control, he is at a artificial disadvantage.
I am not mad or upset about it. It's the way the world turns. To get your tutu in a tizzy that I state the obvious is astounding (no, I am not insinuating you are a woman or anything else, it is a figure of speech... reign in the PC police).
Cheers,
Not mad or upset. Yet you devote lots of posts and paragraphs to say how not upset you are.
Just going to leave that.
