I think this contributes to people waiting to have more experience before upgrade. 2000 seems to be the magic number. That said - FO are being picked up by LCC and cargo. Most seniority movement is FO leaving.
If “most seniority movement is FO leaving” that doesn’t argue that TPIC isn’t important, it argues that you’ve got a seniority gridlock of captains that the legacies won’t but hire who don’t want to give up the pay or seniority to start over at an LCC.
