I only mention the underwing engine thing because I saw it in a Kalitta ad and I’ve heard from a few friends at the major that they prefer it. It certainly isn’t a big point, nor a reason to choose an airframe. It doesn’t outweigh anything especially experience, leadership, etc.
It’s not something you would log in a logbook, it’s the type aircraft you fly. People have flown different types of aircraft in their backgrounds, and to some people those differences may matter more than to others. Turbine time isn’t the end all, be all. Resumes matter too.
Obviously I’ve ****ed off some folks here and that was not my intent. I don’t want to distract this thread from the OP’s original post. I was just offering one perspective. There are many.
