Most places require business casual, which usually means dockers/slacks and a collar of some sort. Generally no jeans or tee shirts. In the real world business casual means non-athletic shoes but you can probably get away with sneakers at a regional.

For checkride day plan on slacks, belt, leather shoesbutton-down shirt, and tie unless they tell you otherwise. Ie a suit minus the jacket.
