I remember for the longest time the Boeing crowd was against the Airbus crowd because of flight envelope protections and overriding the pilots, and how that on a Boeing the pilot should have (and HAS) the final authority.


...clearly that philosophy went away with the MAX 8 but no one at Boeing told any of the airlines or pilots!
