I guess you think if you say it often enough it will become true but the facts are just not on your side.
You might not know this but in the first 2 years or so, Virgin hired street captains and you only had to wait approx 1-6 months for "your" new aircraft delivery in order to slide over to the left seat, AND Year 2 and subsequent longevity raises were based on your hire date NOT your upgrade date. So I am quite certain that there was no starting over at Year 1 pay when you upgraded.
Yes starting pay was $95 but in the wake of the massive furloughs "blamed" on 911, there evolved an imbalance in the power dynamics between airline employers and pilots and all airlines took advantage of that to win abhorrent cuts to pilot's pay rates, pensions and benefits, etc. (as an example, just look at where USAir's hourly rate was during that period). VX simply used that situation to their advantage too.
Today the market dynamics are very different obviously, and if VX were to start up today, their payrate would have to be significantly higher than $95/hour to get anyone typed on the Airbus to come over.
