I’ve heard this one before but I’m kind of confused by it. The increased flow through rate for the protected pilot group actually benefits every pilot junior to that group more than any protected pilot due to the compounding effect of a rate increase. Similarly, if they can increase the rate for the following group, it won’t be those pilots who benefit the most, it will be each pilot junior to that group...
Also, what did they give away? Anybody who was here in 2014 knows that grievance had no legs — so they gave what?
