Nope, not BS. There's the article from the university itself. Although, its not nearly as sophisticated as what people are interpreting it as. The "brain" is just a bunch of neurons, it doesn't have a personality. They didn't extract something's entire brain and hook it up to a computer. Its a simple pitch and roll autopilot(which is not hard to make btw). Far less sophisticated than what is driving our airplanes right now. What is impressive is using living tissue as a computational device. There is a lot of potential to improve computing capabilities and speeds to make all sorts of improvements. Might even be able to figure out to manage all those crazy random processes like the weather.
