First of all the threshold would have to include credit and not be just hard time.
With that said, I would contend that paying premium pay over a 75/80 hour threshold would greatly increase the number of premium hours the company now pays via green slip. How many times have each of you gone over 75 hours in the last year? I’m betting quite a few. Wouldn’t it be nice to get that premium pay for going over the threshold? These hours would have been in addition to GS hours paid by the Company.
Honest question that requires an honest answer: If we got this included, will you personally change your bidding habits and fly more?
I understand the argument against the idea that some are making and to a certain extent, it will affect green slips. I just think it won’t be to the extremes being described here. We already have guys maxing out their schedule at straight pay. The question is how many more pilots will try to max out? Will you?
