My JB friends said pt 91 pilots were the reason they had to delay bringing ALPA on board. Not saying the only reason, but that combined with the milspecs definitely delayed it and cost the majority of the pilots a lot of money. I have flown with a few and found them either very pleasant or not pleasant at all. Dont care about the airmen skillz, necessarily.

I’ve had quite a few FOs coming from purely corporate careers, honestly they’re some of the best people I’ve flown with. They have no issues through training, good attitudes (not lazy or offended by suggestions), they manage the aircraft well for newbies, and they’re good people to hang out with on an overnight.
Our pilot recruitment hasn’t been overlooking good corporate pilots and I hope that remains the case.
