Just imagine going before a hiring board and having to explain why you screwed up the math in your logbooks and this your application.

You mean "thus" your application. Case in point about small errors.
Well, I CAN calculate the amount of time it's taking to manually enter 20+ years of flying in to the electronic logbook: fricking eons. I'm roughly 25 hours in to the project and, though the pace IS picking up, and much of that was spent fiddling around with the trial versions of software, I'm STILL back in the C150 working on my "time building" days of yore, from 1999/2000. Oy Gevalt...
The paper log takes me about 1 hour per month to rectify. Thus I have invested 2+ years of paper logbook goofiness in to the electronic logbook, with no end in sight, and I will STILL have to take the paper ones to my next interview. And errors are made in the transcription process which slow me down further.
And I kind of like writing in my book.
But I see your point(s). I dunno...I might just keep doin' what I'm doin'. I'm not a millenial and newer technology is often not gooder.
Thanks for your POVs.
