It’s definitely better than a regional (for me anyway). I agree with the sentiment above, but it’s still better. Management’s attitude towards labor is not better. What’s better is the pay, the fact that we’re not subject to the whims of legacy airline management while opening and closing bases to accommodate the changes in flying, and arguably the work rules (specifically the schedule flexibility). Another thing that’s better for me, but very subjective, is the bases.

I came here to use it as a stepping stone a little over three years ago but now I’m here to stay. The money is decent and my QOL is much better than when I was doing the regional grind. Just don’t expect to come here and be treated like an asset. Management does not see you as such. If you’re at peace with that, it’s a decent career.
