LOL. 3 things can happen from the video screen...... TBNT, a TFA's required (training failures), or Interview to be scheduled. If you have training failures that requires waiting for the candidate to send it in and a Check Airman to look at it who is (also a line pilot) . The CKA could says TBNT, ITBS, or en extra look maybe required for PHC review.
After all this happens and successful. It would be time to come in for an interview. We are not going to schedule an interview two months out. So we would wait. We are interviewing on average 4 times a month. This takes prep time and the interview day is all day for us. We would not want to schedule you for a May 18th interview and then adding one at the beginning of the month and then put you behind them. That would not be fair?
JetBlue pilots have a lot to do with hiring here at JB. We worked hard for this privilege and are line pilots as well. This is a good thing IMHO. It's good for all. We are hiring like hot cakes and are doing hundreds of video screens. We are also hiring hundreds as well.
At the end of the day we do most of our work on the front side. We don't want to waste anybody's time. We want the candidate to succeed at the interview...Thats why we invited you.
Good Luck!
Thanks for explaining the process, Hyper. Always a good job done by you and your crew, and while it may SEEM a thankless job, it is a very important and appreciated one.
For those in the waiting process... it can seem like forever. But until you get a TBNT, no news IS good news. Don't chew your nails too close to the quick. Just be glad the pool is so low these days, one less waiting period for you.
Good luck!
