Don’t recall a reg that a baby plane needs an extinguisher.
91.205 applies.
If the plane is certified before 1978 it doesn’t even need a shoulder belt just a lap belt.
So I don’t see an extinguisher.
Unless it originally came with one and it’s on the original equipment list.
When instructed for Shady Aviation Inc I carried my own.
Size of a large bottle from Home Depot.
It doesn’t matter it’s not an “aviation” issue as it’s not airplane equipment.
As CP I would have used this as a teaching moment.
Using the AFM and the FARAIM show me this plane needs an extinguisher.
Remember the golden rule of aviation:
Legal doesn’t mean safe and safe doesn’t mean legal.
