Default MKE housing

Hello all.

My question for all you Air Wis pilots and staff based in MKE- I am looking at purchasing property and investing in Milwaukee. Most likely a few miles north and west of the actual city and maybe about 15 minutes away from General Mitchell. What is the housing situation like for all of you? To get more to the point.... Would it be pretty easy to rent out a duplex (2-3 bedrooms, 1000-1200 square feet in each unit) to a couple of pilots and/ or flight attendants at a price point of $850-1100 per month?

Quick introduction about me: 33 year old full time police officer, part time commercial pilot/cfi, new real estate investor. I live in Chicago. I will be transitioning to full time aviation (probably airlines) in 8 years when I retire from law enforcement

Like I said, I’m a new real estate investor and am looking to buy a turn key property ASAP and get some tenants in there. Since I am also in the aviation field and know how mature and responsible (ha) we all are in this industry, I figured I’d open the opportunity to pilots or flight attendants to be my tenants before advertising to the general public.

Just looking for some honest input about what the MKE housing situation is like and if this could interest a decent amount of people.

Thanks in advance!
