I enjoy reading a lot of your posts even if I don’t agree with some of them but I don’t get where you’re coming from on this one. Why shouldn’t we try to help everyone out on this? If it gets an in base guy a green slip and lets a reserve guy who didn’t want to fly stay home with the family (or boat) and the company still maintains the integrity of the operation then what’s the harm to the pilots especially?
As I’m sure you’re aware, this would drive pilot labor costs up. Doing something like paying double time to cover an ATL-JAX flight that was in the MSP bid package is kinda silly.
Yes, it would be good for pilots. No, I don’t think it’s a reasonable allocation of our negotiating resources.
