The bid is "prefer off 24-27." The known result is double pay on those days if you go to work, and chances are based on your seniority so... Christmas at home is either a privilege of your seniority or double pay is a privilege of your seniority. Take your pick.

I do it all the time and bid weekends off in the summer because you are 4X more likely to get a GS on the weekend. I do also prefer the lake when it's not crowded so if those days roll to Monday or the conflict drops my Monday trip... great!
