Lying on the form is a federal felony. The FAA probably won't go there for minor, inconsequential, perhaps unintentional omissions.

But they've clearly demonstrated that they will pull out all legal stops for those who knowingly conceal serious, disqualifying conditions. Mental health falls into that category. I suspect it would be worse to conceal an active condition, as opposed to one in the past which had been treated and was no longer an issue.
