Melit please don't derail yet another thread. Some of us actually need to make decisions and find people's serious opinion is helpful, so please don't.
If everything happens as planned/hoped upgrade should come down to 2 years in the next 16-24 months. My perspective is that of a LCP and 10 year employee.
