Indeed. If the majors that require a four year degree we’re having any serious problem filling their cockpits they likely WOULD revisit the requirement/preference. The fact that they RARELY hire such individuals, even if it is ‘only’ a preference and not a requirement, says all anyone needs to know about their lack of difficulty in finding applicants.
