They could have at least updated the form letter. The last 80 parked in 2018.

The junior folks are better off answering your specific questions about hiring but morale and satisfaction here varies greatly with seniority. If you're very senior and live in base its the best job ever. If you're junior in a base you don't want it's the worst job ever. Right now, theres a lot of junior folks in bases they don't want. Unless something changes or theres a big announcement upgrade is running about 5 years currently. The most junior captain in the company is a 12/15 hire with a seniority number of about 550 out of 870. For those of you living in Rio Linda that means at least 320 pilots are ahead of you potentially wanting to upgrade. The company wants to cut staffing by 2.5 crews per plane so upgrades will only be a trickle when they begin again. It's going to be a very long time before any new hires see the left seat. Don't let them tell you otherwise. If you're a regional FO and want to get a Bus type to look good for Delta come on over. If you live in a base and want to be home most of the time come on over. If you plan to commute or play base hopscotch for the 5 years you will be a junior FO you will hate your life. Caveat Emptor.
