My only question is .... who paid for the dinner?

First met him in June 1967. We were both new DC-6 flight engineers and going through a class called BTT - Basic Turbine Training. Learning the very basic principles of how a jet engine functions.

He was based in SFO and I was based in EWR. He was about 6 months senior to me.

He was a guy I always enjoyed meeting when on the road.

He defines the label "class act".
