Correct, the white/blue/gold CAL logo and paint job was originally done by Lippincott nearly 30 years ago (1991). Later, they tweaked it for the merged airline and did some additional branding work before being replaced by PriestmanGoode.

Love it or hate it, UAL paid big bucks to a top firm for this whole re-branding.
