There is obviously more to it than just hours.... In my class last year I was at the bottom 1/3 in terms of hours (4500+ from a 20 year military career). There were a few with less hours than me, but the majority of my class was of people with far greater hours than I had (some with 10K+). So I wouldn't put too much stock in having a ton of hours... like I said, they are looking at more than that. Just my $0.02.
